Our waitress came back to our table almost in tears and said she thinks she's going to be fired. Since they have an open kitchen we could see him screaming at our poor waitress! I couldn't believe what I was watching. My husband apologized that he wasted the lobster, but again told him we're locals and have been coming for years and know what the lobster tastes like and this was not it! He then yelled that "YES YOU WASTED TWO OF MY LOBSTERS! LOBSTERS DON'T HAVE A TASTE THAT'S JUST HOW THEY ARE!” We were so taken aback by his UNACCEPTABLE behavior! When we informed him that we were told we weren't the first costumers to complain tonight and that something must be wrong with the Lobsters he stormed away to the kitchen. The shorter Dino (owner) proceeded to come to our table and berate my husband about the lobster! He said lobster does not have flavor and he's been serving the same lobster for 40 years. My husband felt awful for wasting two lobsters, but they were simply not edible! We understand things like this happen especially now with food product and shortages but it's what happened next that is making me leave a review.

At this point we just didn't want it because it was truly that bad. A new lobster was brought to our table by a food runner and it tasted the exact same way! Again, we've been coming to this establishment for years and we know what the lobster typically tastes like.

The taller Dino (owner) stopped by our table and touched the lobster and said "oh yeah this is way overcooked I'll get you another one". We both work in the Hospitality Industry so we understand food waste and food costs and felt terrible to send it back, but for $30+ dollars we had to. All my husband wanted for his birthday was Lobster from Flamingo Grill, NEVER AGAIN! The first lobster that came out had absolutely no flavor and almost had a chemical taste. We know the food and know what to expect. However, our experience at this restaurant was unacceptable! We are local to the area and have been going to this restaurant for YEARS. I typically only write a review if it is a positive experience.
