However on a filemaker support forum, i've been told that the client doesn't specifically need 5003 on the hospital side, only on the server side, and it uses 'random port' which must be getting blocked by the firewall and I've been advised to use Fileshark to examine the traffic. I read the documentation as the client needing ports 80, 4 open and the first two are, but probably not 5003 on the hospital firewall side. Within the hospital firewall i can still access the server via 'webdirect' (which uses ports 80 and 443) but this isn't good enough for the application.
